Job Definition
The Facilities Associate will perform basic maintenance repairs to plumbing, electrical, and support services. Although he/she may occasionally use Agency vehicles, he/she will mostly be required to use a personal vehicle and personal maintenance tools. The Facilities Associate routinely interacts with all Agency staff and clients.
Educational RequirementsHigh school diploma or its equivalent.
Experience Required1-2 years of relevant building maintenance experience.
Duties and Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs at program sites and residents’ homes, including painting, masonry, woodwork, plumbing, and electrical. Work is delegated from work orders submitted by program directors and/or administrative personnel under the direction and oversight of the Facilities Supervisor.
- Perform office relocations and/or resident relocations as required.
- Assist with the relocation process including moving furniture, removing debris, painting, and preparing sites for new residents.
- Troubleshoot residential sites for potential maintenance and/or safety issues and make recommendations to management.
- Assist in acquiring vendor bids in collaboration with the Facilities Supervisor, Accounting Department, and Director of Operations.
- Follow safety regulations and company policies and enforce them when job assignment requires temporary workers.
- Act as substitute for Facilities Supervisor as needed.
- Identify and implement quality improvement trainings and activities as part of professional development goals.
- Complete QI training during onboarding and participate in QI refresher training as needed.
- Cultivate a culture of inclusion for all employees that respects individual strengths, views, and experiences.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
