We are seeking an Entry Level Java Developer to join Gain Am in New York. Applicants will work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the development of Java-based solutions.

• Develop and maintain Java applications in line with project requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable software components.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure coding standards and best practices are followed.

• Expert Java/J2EE knowledge (JSP, Servlets, JDBC, JMS, Web services)
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and Java Script
• Sense for interface design for usability and great user experience
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL
• Linux experience a plus
• Knowledge of mobile and social networking technologies a plus

• Strong in building complex, n-tier applications using C#, ASP.NET and SQL Server
• Strong practical experience using an Object Relational Mapper (Linq, NHibernate, EF)
• Ability to work in a startup environment
• Preferred education:
  
  Typically a Bachelor s Degree or global equivalent in related discipline
