Munich-based HIDALGO is looking for PROJECT MANAGERS (M/F/D) in EVENT MANAGEMENT We are now looking for project managers in the field of event management (m/f/d) on a fee basis for the HIDALGO Festival in fall 2024 as well as for guest performances, co-productions and projects outside the festival period.
Do you already have experience in (cultural) project work or a degree/training in this field? All the better! But even if this is not the case, we look forward to receiving your application. With our large network, this is your chance to gain experience as a project manager in a young and motivated team.
Who we are:
The HIDALGO combines paradoxical worlds to create intense art experiences. This is what the interdisciplinary and passionate team at our Munich-based classical music start-up stands for. HIDALGO sees classical music as a contemporary form of expression.
We produce innovative concert formats and organize the annual HIDALGO Festival for young classical music. We create video installations, commission sound design and confront romantic poetry with modern poetry. Whatever fits together to form something bigger is allowed.
These are your areas of responsibility
As a project manager, you organize all the necessary details to ensure that a music (theater) production runs smoothly, from the first kick-off meeting to the last sprinter ride after dismantling. These include:
- Project management activities such as milestones plan and organization of project meetings
- Communication and coordination of artists, location, technology and service providers
- Contract negotiation and drafting
- Continuous control of the event budget
- Preparation of applications and approvals (e.g. KVR, GEMA…)
- Coordination of processes before and during events
- Project office in Munich’s Maxvorstadt district
- Gain experience with artists, agencies, venues, media …
- Benefit from a large network in the Munich art, culture and club scene
- Flexible working location and hours (working hours depend on the scope of the production you are responsible for and are usually between 5 and 15 hours per week)
What we wish for:
- Motivation and reliability
- Initial experience in (cultural) project work/event management is desirable, but not a must
- Strong organizational skills
- Confident handling of Microsoft Office packages and MS Teams
- Independent and structured way of working
- Communicative and open personality
- Enthusiasm for classical music, art and pop culture
