Job DescriptionResponsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments received from suppliers and from the manufacturing plant. Proper materials handling in the warehouse keeping the company stockroom through organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basis.
Responsibilities- Keep the area safe and secure, following compliance.
- Obtain necessary materials, coordinating activities with the purchasing department and logistic shipments to fulfill production and shipment programs.
- Problem solve on all materials/logistics functions at the SFMS warehousing activities.
- Complete documentation including preparation of commercial invoices, shippers export declarations, bills of lading, international airway bills, packing slips, shipping instructions and country-specific requirements needed. Manage third party shipping systems/software (Fed Ex/UPS/T&T).
- Responsible for the shipping process (logistic and paperwork related) from AMETEK Hidalgo, Texas distribution center.
- In charge of raw material receiving activities along with all inventory transactions on company web platforms.
- Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers.
- Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary, operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goods.
- 1-2 years of experience in the area.
- Knowledge of computer packages (Microsoft Office).
- Demonstrated experience on ERP systems, such as MAX, SAP, Oracle or similar.
- Desirable experience in forklift driving.
- Effective communication, conflict resolution and emotional intelligence.
- Proactive.
