PE Teaching Assistant/Sports Coach
SEN School - Empowering Learning

Empowering Learning is working in partnership with a specialist SEN school to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic PE Teaching Assistant. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with additional needs through physical education, promoting confidence, teamwork, and wellbeing.

The Role:

Support the delivery of PE lessons alongside the class teacher

Work with pupils with Special Educational Needs (including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH)

Encourage participation, engagement, and positive behaviour during physical activities

Provide 1:1 and small group support where required

Help create a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment

The Ideal Candidate :

Experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)

A passion for sport, physical activity, and inclusive education

Patient, resilient, and supportive approach

Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

Relevant qualifications or coaching experience is an advantage
