Then read on because were looking for qualified educators at all levels to join our team of bank staff , able to cover periods of planned and unplanned absences in the High Peak.
About the Role Arnfield Independent School Established in 1997 and based in the High Peak area of Derbyshire, Arnfield Care Ltd is an outstanding independent provider of high-quality residential care and on-site education. Arnfield Independent School is a specialist education provision for young people aged 1117 who may present with complex social, emotional and behavioural needs and significant disruption to their education.
Our approach is nurturing, supportive and aspirational. We use strong relationships, consistency and personalised learning to help pupils re-engage, build confidence and make meaningful personal and academic progress. And now, we are looking to bolster our team and improve the year-round education we provide by establishing our own bank of regular supply staff, from TAs to HLTAs, through to qualified teachers.
Maybe youre already a seasoned supply professional. Maybe you just want to pick up some extra days work during mainstream school holidays. You may even be new to the whole interim assignment life. Whatever your circumstances, if youre suitably qualified, committed to the principle that every child matters, flexible and enthusiastic, then we have a role for you. Reporting to our headteacher, youll stand in for our existing teachers and TAs when they are on leave, have training or are off ill, and youll be based in our main school in Glossop.
A typical day might see you venture to one of our three local homes to deliver one-to-one lessons in one of our dedicated classrooms there, or perhaps be out in the community helping a young person to gain vital life experience through our ASDAN programme. As an Independent School (Ofsted rated Good with elements of Outstanding) we support the education of looked-after children.
We use a variety of teaching strategies including one-to-one classroom teaching, ASDAN and outdoor education. We support students to re-engage with education, build confidence in learning and achieve meaningful learning outcomes, enabling them to take greater control of their lives as they transition into further education, training or work. Our children and young people come from throughout the United Kingdom and occasionally abroad.
They live in one of our three outstanding residential care homes where our support workers and team of psychologists help them deal with a wide range of complex issues resulting from social, emotional and behavioural difficulties in their formative years. Whether they are with us for short-term respite care, intensive crisis intervention work or longer-term placements as they transition towards semi-independence, we want to help them learn, grow and achieve so that they have every opportunity to succeed in later life.
Our curriculum is innovative and varied because the children we educate have complex individual needs. We pride ourselves on being nurturing and supportive, and on using tailored strategies to engage our young people so that they can overcome their disadvantages. We value diversity, resilience, passion and ambition, and demand that our staff are committed to providing the highest level of educational support for children experiencing crises.
So you'll need to share this passion for improving the lives of young people; providing them with the best possible education while theyre with us and the greatest opportunities to thrive when they leave the safety of our school. Key Objectives Of
The Role To support our education team by providing flexible cover during periods of planned and unplanned staff absences. To support the delivery of high-quality learning and teaching, working under the…
