Community Responder

We're hiring for a Community Response Officer to join a compassionate, community-focused organisation supporting vulnerable adults across the High Peak area.

You’ll play a vital role in providing reassurance, emergency response, and practical assistance to help people live independently and safely in their own homes.

• £13.26 p/h
• Rotating shift pattern | 8 hour shifts
• 25 days holiday + bank holidays
• Standard pension scheme
• Comprehensive training & ongoing support

• Responding to emergency calls from clients and providing practical or emotional support
• Assisting individuals who have fallen or require help with mobility using specialist equipment
• Installing, testing, and maintaining Carelink alarm units and telecare devices
• Recording accurate information and maintaining clear client records
• Liaising with emergency services, relatives, and social care teams when required
• Conducting regular checks on vehicles, equipment, and CCTV systems
• Providing companionship and reassurance during emergency situations

• A full UK driving licence
• Previous experience working with elderly/vulnerable individuals
• A flexible approach to varied shift patterns
