We are recruiting for Senior Support Workers to work in an established Adults Residential Home based in the high peak of Derbyshire.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Support Worker you will be required to administer medication to residents and adhere to the required shift times of 06:45 to 22:15pm and ideally you will drive and have your own transport as public transport is limited during these times.
With this role you will be required to co‑ordinate a team response and provide personal care and support to people with a range of complex and challenging needs to enable them to have choice and control of their lives.
You will be experienced in using hoists and have had the relevant manual handling training relevant to the role.
Qualifications & RequirementsAs a Senior Support Worker you will have a minimum level 3 in Health and Social Care and have previous experience and relevant qualifications for administering medications.
You will have an understanding of and empathy with the needs of vulnerable people and have the ability to communicate with and relate to a wide range of clients and understanding of the principles of treating others with dignity and respect.
You will have up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and national guidance for regulation and good practice understanding the importance of person centred care.
