About the RoleBased at New Mills Nursery School, High Peak, SK22 4AQ
, you will be working 12.5 hours a week, Mon - Fri 7am - 8am & 4pm - 5.30pm. You’ll play a key role in providing high‑quality caretaking services to oversee maintenance and cleanliness.
- Carrying out day‑to‑day maintenance and minor repairs.
- Making sure that heating, lighting and alarm systems are working properly.
- Carrying out and recording basic checks and maintaining Health and Safety records.
- Monitoring site stocks and undertaking cleaning duties.
- Demonstrating Health and Safety awareness and having a willingness to attend training courses including Health and Safety (all training will be provided).
- Ad‑hoc duties require cover when council meetings & events lead into the evening late; setting up rooms, tables & chairs, tea & coffee refreshments.
- Cleaning will be required as deep cleans will need to be undertaken during office closed hours; experience with use of cleaning machines from carpet cleaners, hard floor cleaners, high‑reached dusting equipment.
- PAT testing experience would also be desirable; basic maintenance knowledge helpful, including painting, repairs, putting up notice boards, etc.
- Great customer service and communication skills and experience in a similar setting.
