An excellent opportunity with a UK owned leading food manufacturer. The company is privately owned, well established with over 85 years of manufacturing experience and employs over 200 people within High Peak. They are looking to expand their engineering team due to increased growth in market share.

• Apprentice Trained in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience of Packaging Machinery.
• Understanding of PPM Systems.

The ideal candidate will have a multi-skilled engineering background, work independently, and be a time-served engineer with a mechanical bias (though multi-skilled). They should bring fast‑moving manufacturing experience and be comfortable with automated systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day‑to‑day engineering and maintenance activities, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies.

Responsibilities include working on packaging machinery, conveyors, multi‑vac machines, gearboxes, pumps, general mechanical work and other manufacturing machinery. Extensive training will be offered to broaden skills considerably.

Standard OT rate, bonus, pension, holidays, sick pay scheme, staff shop, and subs titized canteen.
