Accounts Payable Specialist

Description

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to support a fast-paced finance environment in Hight, Point, North Carolina. This Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage a large volume of payables accurately while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines. The role will focus on end-to-end invoice processing, payment preparation, and consistent recordkeeping to help ensure smooth daily accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

- Process a high volume of vendor invoices with accuracy and in a timely manner.

- Review, categorize, and assign correct account codes before entering payable transactions into the system.

- Manage full-cycle accounts payable activities from invoice receipt through final payment and documentation.

- Prepare and complete check runs and ACH payments according to established schedules.

- Verify invoice details, resolve discrepancies, and follow up with internal teams or vendors when clarification is needed.

- Maintain organized payment records and supporting documentation to ensure audit-ready files.

- Assist with invoicing-related tasks and help keep financial data current and accurate.

Requirements - Proven experience handling accounts payable in a high-volume processing environment.

- Strong understanding of full-cycle AP procedures, including invoice review, coding, and payment processing.

- Hands-on experience with account coding and coding invoices accurately.

- Familiarity with preparing check runs and processing ACH transactions.

- High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in financial work.

- Ability to manage deadlines effectively and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
