The Assistant Graphics Manager position requires a blend of creative and technical skills that are critical for a fast-paced, deadline-driven graphics/prepress/printing environment.

• Minimum 2-year degree in graphic design
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the printing industry
• Knowledge of design, color theory and typography
• Strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Experience working on both Mac and PC platforms
• Efficient, organized and detail-oriented work regimen
• Ability to multitask and prioritize competing deadlines under pressure
• Strong listening and communication skills

• Analyze and prepare client files for various output devices
• Meet design specifications requested by clients for a wide variety of projects
• Perform data-merge operations for mailings
• Archive produced images, graphics and client files in an asset management system
• Keep up with software/technology advances that will contribute to improved procedures and workflows
• Work as a team player with members of our Customer Service, Production and Bindery Departments
• Serve as a backup to the Graphics Manager
