At Future Care Renalis, our Patient Transporters ensure our patients are transported to/from the dialysis center and perform basic health care services. Our Dialisys will work under the direct supervision of the Charge Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients and clients in a safe and professional manner
• Assist patients and clients as needed to ensure safe transfer
• Effectively communicate with the Charge Nurse regarding scheduled progress and the ability to receive and perform additional duties/instructions
• Ensure Dialysis recliners are properly disinfected between clients and returned to the Dialysis Suite at end of shift
• Comfort patients and their family members by offering support and encouragement
• Stock supplies daily and help with inventory
• Assist with lab labeling
• Complete MOLST communication book forms in a timely manner
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following all standards and procedures

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must have at least 1 year of experience working in a healthcare setting
• GNA certification needed
• Must have a current CPR/BLS certification
• Must be comfortable working with the geriatric population
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team-centered environment
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
• Must be able to work as scheduled
