101816    Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is looking for experienced MIG Welders to join our fabrication shop in High Point, North Carolina . In this role you will work both independently and on a team with minimal supervision.

*** 1st Shift , 6:00am-4:30pm with OT as necessary
* 2nd Shift , 4:00pm-2:30am with OT as necessary

** Responsibilities:
*** Weld structural steel members using (MIG) wirefeed processes
* Weld in 3G and 4G positions according to safety-oriented procedures
* Read welding symbols and understand testing requirements
* Follow proper safety instructions
* Work in a team environment
* Perform other duties as needed by supervision
*
* Education Requirements:

*** Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED or related experience as a certified structural steel welder as determined by the plant manager

** Specific Structural Welding

Skills:

* Ability to pass a 3G and 4G weld test using GMAW process on 3/8“ material
* Good verbal communication skills with other employees
* Positive attitude
* Open minded with a vision for continuous improvement
* Ability to understand weld symbols and testing requirements
* Ability to read blueprints

Specific Physical

Skills:

* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
* Ability to step over and work on top of fixtures that are 28 inches off the floor when necessary
* Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
