2nd Shift Small Parts Welder
Join Mickey Truck Bodies as a Small Parts Welder on the 2nd shift. This role involves precision welding and fabrication of small metal components used in truck and trailer body assemblies. Work Monday‑Thursday, 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM, with overtime on Friday and Saturday as needed.
Base Pay Range$19.00 /hr – $21.00 /hr (plus $2 shift differential)

- Weld and fabricate small metal parts and assemblies according to blueprints, work orders, or verbal instructions.
- Operate MIG and TIG welding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect welds for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with quality standards.
- Use jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools to ensure part alignment and consistency.
- Perform basic grinding, cutting, and finishing tasks to prepare or clean welded parts.
- Maintain welding equipment and perform routine checks to ensure proper operation.
- Identify and report defective materials, faulty equipment, or unsafe conditions to the Team Leader.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Follow all safety policies and wear required PPE at all times.
- Assist with setup and organization of the work area to support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 years of welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred.
- Completion of a welding certification or technical training program strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MIG and TIG welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
- Familiarity with steel, aluminum, and other common welding materials.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, grinders, and measuring instruments.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong work ethic and reliability in attendance and performance.
- Must be able to communicate clearly.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 lbs.
- Requires ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, crawl, and kneel.
- Specific vision ability required includes close, distance, color, and peripheral vision with depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Manufacturing environment that has frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, noise intensity level, proximity to moving mechanical parts, and exposure to weather.
