Shift Details2 nd Shift CNC Machine Operator
$17.50 to $20.50 per hour based on experience (+$2/hour shift differential)
Shift: Monday-Thursday 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM – OVERTIME SHIFT

The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high‑quality metal and aluminum parts used in truck and trailer body manufacturing. This role ensures parts meet precise specifications and quality standards, contributing directly to the production of durable, custom‑built truck bodies and trailers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC machinery to cut, shape, and finish metal or aluminum components according to engineering drawings and production orders.
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and work instructions to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality.
- Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job.
- Monitor machine operation and adjust feeds, speeds, or tooling as needed to maintain part quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on CNC machines to prevent downtime.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming and G‑code understanding preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files.
- Proficient with precision measuring tools and inspection techniques.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills for troubleshooting equipment or part variances.
- Basic understanding of metal fabrication and machining principles.
- Attention to detail, quality‑focused mindset, and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical training or certification in CNC machining or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of CNC operating experience, preferably in metal fabrication or manufacturing.
- Experience with truck, trailer, or automotive components a plus.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Must be able to communicate clearly.
- Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, crawl, and kneel.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
