Work Schedule Requirements: 2nd Shift (5:00 pm - 5:00 am). Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

SUMMARY

The Sanitation Worker is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the Shipping and Production areas, as well as the upkeep of the Plant grounds. This role requires the proper use of cleaning chemicals, agents, and specialized equipment in accordance with all safety policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates assigned cleaning equipment – including power scrubbers and foamers – and utilizes appropriate chemicals to clean and sanitize designated areas within the facility
• Performs thorough cleaning tasks, including washing walls, ceilings, floors, drains, piping, and various equipment throughout the processing plant, warehouse, and storage areas
• Cleans the exterior surfaces of all machinery, equipment, and tanks as part of routine sanitation procedures
• Maintains supply levels in designated areas; refills dispensers and stocks cleaning materials as needed
• Removes trash, recycling, and other debris to promote a clean and hazard‑free workplace
• Monitors work areas for potential safety hazards and promptly notifies leadership of any issues; takes immediate action to address hazards as directed
• Adheres to all GMPs, safety protocols, and health regulations, including proper use of PPE
• Supports special cleaning projects as needed and performs other related duties as assigned
• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
• Ability to perform basic math functions
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions, including cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
• Prior experience in sanitation, food manufacturing, or chemical handling is preferred
