Join our dynamic team at The Day Hospital as a Registered Nurse (Full-Time, Nights), where fast-paced action meets compassionate care! With 32 beds and 4 infusion chairs, expandable to 10 when needed, we deliver safe and efficient services to a diverse patient population 24/7. From pre- and post-surgical care to infusions, our scope is broad and impactful.

Surgical cases range from thyroidectomies to hysterectomies, while procedures include renal biopsies and tumor embolization. Infusions encompass a variety of treatments from blood products to chemotherapy. But it's not just about the cases; it's about the culture. Our ‘team family’ ethos fosters support and growth, leading to low turnover rates and a fulfilling work environment.     Full‑Time = 36 hrs, 3 (12‑hr) shifts weekly, Nights, 7:30 pm – 8 am

What You'll Need
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Provide patient/family‑centered care using the nursing process and focusing on the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs. This includes assessment, development of nursing diagnoses, outcome identification, planning, implementation of interventions, coordination of care, health teaching and promotion, and evaluation of goals and interventions consistent with the policies of WFBMC.
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment through ensuring patient privacy and responsive, respectful, accepting, and professional behavior.
  • Utilize and promote the use of technology and equipment to enhance the safety of patients and staff.
  • Communicate effectively to promote sharing of information throughout the continuum of care and as an effective member of the healthcare team.
  • Demonstrate the ability to function in a professional setting through active participation in a professional practice model. This includes participating in shared governance, adherence to standards of care, participation in peer review and professional development promoting leadership and clinical excellence, effective team skills, autonomous practice, and acknowledgment of accountability for actions and critical thinking.
  • Perform and maintain competency for point‑of‑care testing as assigned, waived and/or non‑waived, ensuring compliance with WFBH policies and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Act as a patient advocate throughout the continuum of care, including all patient settings and in the community.
