** What You'll Do:
** Annual salary for this position: $45,631    The Parks Maintenance Crew Supervisor (Golf Course) performs difficult skilled work and responsible technical work supervising and participating in the work of a golf course maintenance crew. Performs maintenance in a large municipal park system that involves the use of specialized equipment; does related work as required.  Work is performed under the general supervision of the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent and work guidance is provided to assigned work crews.

Work schedule may include nights, weekends and holidays.
** Essential Tasks & Responsibilities:
*** Plans, schedules, trains, organizes and supervises the work of small crews in the daily operations of golf course maintenance activities;
* Trains new workers in the safe operation of tools and equipment;
* Supervises and participates in the golf course maintenance, repair, installation and construction work;
* Mows, trims, cleans and maintains golf course areas using specialized equipment such as tractors with attachments, reel mowers, pickup trucks with trailers, heavy dump trucks, backhoes, tractor-loaders, chippers, chain saws, riding mowers, trap rakes and other related equipment;
* Inspects work in progress to assure conformance with instructions;
* Makes and adjusts work assignments;
* Requisition s necessary equipment and materials;
* Applies pesticides and herbicides as needed to maintain healthy and attractive golf course;
* Cuts down and removes dead trees and shrubs; maintains flower beds;
* Prunes, mulches and plants trees and shrubs;
* Grades, seeds, fertilizes, waters and sods turf areas;
* Installs, repairs and maintains irrigation systems;
