Supplier Quality Investigator

Responsible for investigating and resolving service requests, ensuring nonconforming products are quarantined, managing quality records, and performing quality inspections and audits within the distribution process.

• Investigate open service requests and communicate results to Customer Service.
• Quarantine nonconforming products related to QMs and notify affected personnel.
• Respond to inquiries regarding service requests, nonconforming product, or spare part requests.
• Collect and maintain assigned quality records and metrics.
• Review QMs, quality notifications in SAP and inform management of trends.
• Perform 5S activities in the Quality area.
• Process RMA’s including receiving, preparation for storage and putaway.
• Conduct first‑piece inspections for Service + area including BOM checks and item verification.
• Perform additional inspections and audits throughout the distribution process.
• May perform additional responsibilities such as processing NSP’s when other Quality personnel are absent.
• Other special projects and duties may be assigned as needed.

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Critical thinking, problem solving, self‑management, flexibility, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals; write routine reports and maintain data logs.
• Mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure; track processing time.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 75 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.

• Stand and walk; use hands to handle objects; reach; regularly lift up to 50–75 pounds.
• Work in a moderate noise environment; may require PPE (steel‑toe shoes, gloves).
