What you’ll do:- Own quality strategy and results:
Set the regional strategy, targets, governance, organization, and investment priorities, with accountability for safety, compliance, reliability, consumer experience, warranty cost, recalls, and cost of poor quality. - Lead one end-to-end quality system:
Integrate Design, Supplier, Manufacturing, Product Line, Field, and Service Quality through common standards, decision rights, metrics, escalation paths, and review cadences. - Prevent risk upstream:
Embed quality and reliability into product strategy, design reviews, DFMEA/PFMEA, APQP/PPAP, supplier selection, validation, production readiness, safe launch, and release decisions. - Assure supplier and manufacturing quality:
Establish critical-part controls, supplier qualification, incoming and in-process inspection, capable processes, control plans, SPC, traceability, end-of-line effectiveness, and recovery plans. - Build predictive quality capability:
Connect supplier, engineering, factory, service, returns, consumer, and warranty data; use standard failure coding, part returns, analytics, and AI-enabled early warning to identify risk before it scales. - Resolve issues and close the learning loop:
Govern critical incidents, recalls, and quality spills; ensure rapid containment, rigorous root cause, verified corrective action, and translation of field learning into stronger designs, validation, supplier controls, manufacturing standards, serviceability, and diagnostics. - Deliver business and brand value:
Execute a multi-year improvement plan that lowers warranty and recall costs, replacements, and repeat repairs while improving ratings, loyalty, retailer confidence, margin, and brand preference. - Transform culture and capability:
Make quality everyone’s responsibility, develop leaders and technical talent, establish visible daily management, encourage early escalation, and sustain fact-based problem solving and prevention.
Enterprise-minded and consumer-focused, with full accountability for quality and business outcomes. Decisive and fact-based, surfacing risks early and acting when standards are not met. Collaborative and influential across functions, product lines, suppliers, and senior leadership. A results-oriented change leader who builds talent, accountability, and a prevention-focused culture.
