Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a well-established accountancy practice in the High Wycombe area to recruit an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and motivated individual to join a growing team within a supportive and professional environment. The role is ideal for someone with at least 3 years' experience in accountancy practice, either part-qualified, qualified by experience, or working towards professional qualifications.
The Role
You will be involved in a varied mix of audit and accounts preparation work, gaining exposure to a diverse client portfolio across a range of industries. The role offers excellent progression opportunities for someone looking to develop their technical skills and build a long-term career within practice.
Your key responsibilities as the Audit & Accounts Senior:
- Assisting with and completing audit assignments from planning through to completion.
- Preparing statutory accounts for a range of clients.
- Supporting senior team members with audit fieldwork and client engagements.
- Ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Liaising with clients to gather information and resolve queries.
- Working on a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors.
- Supporting junior team members where required.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience within an accountancy practice.
- Strong experience in both audit and accounts preparation.
- Good understanding of UK GAAP and compliance requirements.
- Confident working with a varied client portfolio.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.
- Competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000.
