I'm working with an established main contractor who are looking to strengthen their procurement team following the planned relocation of a long‑serving Buyer. This is a key hire within the business.

• Procurement of materials, plant and subcontract packages across residential and commercial projects
• Obtaining and analysing supplier quotations
• Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
• Working closely with commercial and operational teams to support project delivery
• Assisting with supply chain management and procurement strategy
• Supporting and mentoring a junior Buyer
• Office‑based in High Wycombe with some flexibility to work from home

• Buyer or Senior Buyer experience within a construction environment
• Main contractor experience preferred
• Residential and/or commercial project exposure
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
• Organised, commercially aware and proactive
• Comfortable working within a collaborative, long‑serving team

• Established £60m turnover main contractor
• Residential and commercial construction projects
• Stable business with strong staff retention and long‑term careers

• Reporting into an experienced Procurement Manager

Salary guide up to £65,000 depending on experience.
