Brocklehurst Architects is a medium sized practice based in Stokenchurch in Buckinghamshire. The practice which was founded in 1925 carries out work principally in London, the South East and the Midlands. The practice has experience in most building types for a wide range of clients in both the public and private sectors. The ethos of the practice is to marry the differing needs, objectives and aspirations of our clients with our experience and expertise to deliver projects that exceed expectations.

As a practice we place equal emphasis on building design and project management and bring our problem‑solving skills to all stages of a project. All our staff receive training and experience in all aspects of the process to ensure that we can offer a consistent service under the management of one of our project architects from inception to completion.

Recent projects include private and commercial residential developments, commercial offices, retail units, leisure facilities, educational facilities and ecclesiastical buildings.

Description
- Architect

This is a full-time or part-time architect role based in Stokenchurch. The architect will be involved in all aspects of the process of architecture, from inception to completion, working on a number of different projects across differing sectors and work stages, including presenting to clients, liaising with consultants and contractors, and visiting projects on site. Assistance and guidance will be given towards future qualifications.

Qualifications
  • ARB accredited Architect
  • Strong foundation in architecture, with an understanding of design.
  • Proficiency in technical drawing and architectural drawings, including accurate detailing and clear documentation.
  • Effective drawn and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate within a team and liaise with clients and consultants.
  • Ability to create and deliver clear, visually engaging presentations for internal reviews and client meetings.
  • Experience with relevant design and drafting software, especially AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a studio environment.
  • Experience with the Contract Administrator role and running building contracts such as JCT.
  • Interest in sustainable design and materials, and ongoing professional development.
