Graduate Teaching Associate in Aviation – Buckinghamshire New University

Key

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Act as the main point of contact for class teaching for one or more programmes.
  • Teach and support students by adopting a learner‑centred approach.
  • Design and prepare teaching materials within the overall module/programme framework.
  • Provide personal tutoring, student recruitment, assessment, review and evaluation.
  • Mark assignments, essays and exams using solutions provided by the Programme Leader.
  • Deliver pastoral care and project supervision to students.
  • Engage in professional development activities (CPD, conferences).
  • Maintain the university’s high reputation in practice partner settings.

Education & Qualifications
First degree in a relevant field (A)
Working towards a relevant master’s degree (A)
Commitment to achieving a teaching qualification (A)

Knowledge & Experience
Adequate knowledge in discipline/field (A/I)
Specialist skills appropriate to the programmes taught (A/I)
Excellent knowledge of MS Office software (A/I)

Skills
Ability to communicate orally and in writing (I)
Excellent organisational and time‑management skills (I)
Flexibility and response to changing priorities (I)
