Quantum Scholars are working with a secondary school in Buckinghamshire to appoint a Religious Education Teacher for a full-time, permanent role starting in April 2026.
This Ofsted-rated Good co-educational secondary school and sixth form academy is recognised for its high expectations, strong pastoral care, and genuinely supportive staff culture. The school is committed to nurturing confident, well-rounded young people and offers a positive, purposeful environment in which both students and staff can thrive.
The RoleYou will join a dedicated and collaborative Humanities department, delivering engaging and thought-provoking Religious Education lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to contribute to the wider life of a thriving secondary school.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver high-quality RE lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and respectful discussion
- Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress effectively
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice
- Contribute to enrichment activities and the wider school community
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Ability to teach Religious Education at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- A genuine passion for inspiring and engaging young people
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Commitment to raising attainment and supporting pupil progress
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
- An up-to-date Enhanced DBS, or willingness to obtain one
- Overseas applications are welcome; however, candidates must already hold the right to work in the UK and be able to relocate in time for a April start. Acceptable right-to-work statuses include (but are not limited to) a British passport, Ancestral visa, Youth Mobility Scheme visa, Dependant visa, Graduate visa, or EU Settled/Pre-Settled Status.
