SEN Teaching Assistant
Location:
High Wycombe (HP12)
Contract:
Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Hours:
8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: £92.63 - £100 per day.
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our warm and supportive school community in High Wycombe.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting individual pupils or small groups with a range of learning needs, helping to remove barriers to learning and enabling every child to reach their full potential. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver tailored support and create an inclusive, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN
Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Promote a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment
Monitor and record pupils’ progress, feeding back to staff and parents
Help manage behaviour and emotional regulation using positive interventions
About You:
Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential
A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow direction and also use initiative when required
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
