Responsibilities
  • Teach and supervise whole classes across the primary age range.
  • Deliver lessons from teachers  plans and resources.
  • Plan and prepare lessons during longer-term cover arrangements.
  • Mark and assess pupils  work in line with school policies.
  • Maintain a positive and purposeful learning environment.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance and achievement.
  • Support pupils with a range of needs, including SEND.
  • Undertake playground, breaktime and lunchtime supervision duties.
  • Work closely with teachers and leaders to secure the best possible outcomes for pupils.
  • Contribute fully to the wider life of the school.
Qualifications
  • Has experience working with primary-aged children.
  • Can confidently lead whole-class learning.
  • Has excellent behaviour management skills.
  • Is able to plan, deliver and assess learning effectively.
  • Has high expectations of themselves and others.
  • Believes that every child can succeed, regardless of background or starting point.
  • Is flexible, resilient and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Wants to be part of a school where improvement and ambition are at the heart of everything we do.
