Location:

Salary:
Competitive, dependent on experience

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 3:00pm

Contract:

Full-Time, Term Time Only

SEN Outreach Tutor Required
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Outreach Tutor to join our specialist provision in High Wycombe from September 2026.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, tailored educational support to up to 5 SEN pupils.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group tuition outside of a traditional classroom setting.
  • Create engaging and differentiated learning plans based on individual pupil needs.
  • Support pupils with emotional, social, behavioural and learning difficulties.
  • Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of achievement and attendance.
  • Work closely with parents, carers, school staff and external professionals.
  • Promote positive behaviour, engagement and confidence in learning.
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
Essential Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
  • Experience delivering tuition, teaching, mentoring or educational intervention programmes.
  • Strong understanding of a range of SEN needs, including:
    • Autism (ASD)
    • ADHD
    • SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs)
    • Moderate Learning Difficulties
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own timetable.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Ability to travel between multiple locations across High Wycombe and surrounding areas.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience with in specialist SEN settings.
  • Experience supporting pupils who are out of school or at risk of exclusion.
  • Knowledge of EHCPs and SEND Code of Practice.
  • Experience delivering outreach or alternative provision education.
