Engineering Project Team Leader
Manufacturing | Days Only | £50,000 + 10% Bonus | Private Healthcare
We are recruiting an experienced Engineering Project Team Leader to lead a multidisciplinary engineering function within a growing manufacturing business. This role would suit a strong project-focused engineer with either a mechanical or electronics background who enjoys leading teams, delivering complex projects, and shaping product development from concept through to production.
This is a days-only, Monday-Friday role offering long-term career progression in a technically advanced and stable environment.
The Role Leadership & Team Management- Lead, develop, and motivate a multidisciplinary team across R&D, design, and production engineering
- Provide clear strategic direction for engineering projects with effective resource planning
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
- Lead recruitment, training, and succession planning within the engineering function
- Manage the full product lifecycle from concept and prototyping through to testing, certification, and manufacturing handover
- Ensure products meet ventilation, energy efficiency, and safety standards
- Translate customer and commercial requirements into practical engineering solutions
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, building standards, and environmental directives
- Oversee product testing, validation, and certification processes
- Manage external relationships with suppliers, test houses, and certification bodies
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Electronics, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent)
- 6+ years' engineering experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
- Strong project management capability within a manufacturing environment
- Solid experience using CAD (Solid Works preferred)
- Knowledge of relevant manufacturing standards and regulatory compliance
- Salary:
Up to £50,000 + 10% bonus - Hours:
Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (37.5 hours) - Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays
