Principal Civil Engineer - Water

We are looking for a talented Principal Civil Engineer to work on exciting water projects and make a big impact. You will be based in London, Reading, or High Wycombe.

• Lead the civil engineering design across the entire project lifecycle, including asset planning, concept design, outline design, and detailed design.
• Manage and mentor civil engineering teams to ensure high‑quality delivery.
• Collaborate closely with overall project design leads to achieve successful outcomes for clients.
• Engage with clients regularly to support their needs and drive project success.
• Support the development of sustainable infrastructure that mitigates climate change impacts.
• Provide access to Stantec’s expertise to deliver cutting‑edge design solutions.

• Extensive experience as a Civil Engineer in the water, environment, or related infrastructure sectors.
• Chartered or Incorporated member of a relevant professional body such as ICE or CIWEM.
• Strong passion for the water and environment sector and a commitment to supporting the growth of junior engineers.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery and innovative problem‑solving.
• Experience in a client‑facing role, leading client engagement and collaboration.
