Your Role and Responsibilities While in this position, your duties may include but are not limited to:
Taking ownership of the day-to-day financial control function, ensuring accurate and timely financial information is produced. Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts, providing clear analysis and commentary on financial performance. Monitoring cash flow, working capital, and key financial performance indicators, identifying risks and opportunities for senior management.
Overseeing the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring effective financial controls and accurate ledger management. Reviewing the aged debtor and creditor ledgers and supporting the business in maintaining strong cash flow and working capital management. Ensuring financial processes and procedures are robust, efficient, and consistently followed across the business. Working closely with operational and commercial teams to understand financial performance and provide appropriate financial guidance.
Supporting audit requirements and ensuring appropriate financial documentation and controls are maintained. Identifying and resolving financial discrepancies, control weaknesses, and reporting issues. Providing leadership, support, and guidance to members of the wider finance team where required. Supporting the implementation of process improvements, systems enhancements, and automation opportunities. Providing continuity and stability within the finance function throughout the interim assignment. Ensuring all financial activities are completed in line with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
What You Will Need to Apply:
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have proven experience operating at Financial Controller, Financial Accountant, Finance Manager, or a similar senior finance level, with the ability to take ownership of the finance function and make an immediate impact. As this is a 3-month interim assignment, you will need to be confident stepping into an established business, quickly understanding existing processes and systems, and working independently with minimal supervision.
