CIS Finance Manager

A successful SME construction company is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function and provide commercial support to the leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a varied role where they can make a genuine impact on business performance and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day finance function and maintain accurate financial records. Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts and financial reports. Manage budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis. Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements. Oversee payroll processes and maintain effective financial controls. Manage relationships with external accountants, auditors and stakeholders. Monitor project profitability and support commercial decision-making. Maintain and improve finance processes and reporting systems.

What you'll need to succeed Previous experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Senior Management Accountant. Strong SME experience with the ability to work autonomously. Proven CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) experience. Strong VAT knowledge, including preparation and submission of VAT returns.

Experience with in the construction, engineering or related sectors. Excellent attention to detail and strong commercial acumen. AAT qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience candidates will be considered. What you'll get in return Flexible part-time hours-30 hours per week.
