Job Purpose:

As a Financial Analyst, you will be a key member of the finance team, working closely with the CFO and Senior Finance Officer to provide financial support to budget holders and senior leaders across the organisation. You will be expected to take a strategic view of the finance function, while maintaining a hands-on approach to deliver effective monthly management reporting and strong budgetary control.

Manage and coordinate the organisation's financial systems, processes, and projects, including recommending and implementing system and process improvements. Coordinate and control finance processes in line with internal financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory, audit, and funding requirements (as applicable).

Person Specification:

Professional accounting qualification - minimum AAT Level 4 or equivalent. Committed to continuous professional development and learning. Dynamic, positive, and helpful. High expectations of self and colleagues. Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently using an analytical approach, as well as effectively as part of a team. Strong communication skills across all levels and channels. Able to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Up-to-date knowledge and practical experience of current financial software packages. Relevant experience within a finance environment; experience within an education or public/charity-funded setting is desirable. Able to work under pressure with a strong results focus.
