Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer – High Wycombe – New (REF5)
A well-established, enterprise-scale organisation is hiring an Infrastructure / Cloud Engineer to join a centralised delivery function focused on Azure, M365, and hybrid infrastructure. This is a hands-on role with end-to-end ownership of migrations, playing a key part in consolidating a fragmented estate into a secure, standardised, and well-governed platform.
Key responsibilities- Deliver full lifecycle M365 tenant migrations
, including discovery, design, data migration, validation, and cutover. - Assess and optimise Azure environments in line with Well-Architected Framework principles.
- Support and enhance hybrid infrastructure
, maintaining connectivity between on-prem and cloud services. - Create and maintain technical documentation
, including architecture diagrams, build guides, runbooks, and as-built documentation. - Define and implement group-wide standards across identity, security, and access (Entra , MFA, conditional access).
- Ensure infrastructure changes align with change management and risk controls
. - Design and execute testing strategies covering functionality, security, disaster recovery, and performance, supporting smooth transition into BAU teams.
- 5+ years’ experience working across Azure and Microsoft 365 within enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on capability with Exchange, SharePoint, Intune, Entra (Azure AD) and Microsoft security tooling.
- Proven experience contributing to or leading cloud or hybrid migration and consolidation programmes
. - Solid understanding of identity, authentication, and access control within modern cloud environments.
- Experience supporting hybrid estates
, combining cloud platforms with traditional on-prem infrastructure. - Ability to automate, standardise, and improve environments using scripting or infrastructure-led approaches.
- Confident communicator, able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant degree and/or cloud or security certifications
. - Experience working within multi-entity organisations
, acquisitions, or ongoing consolidation programmes.
