Position: Web Content Coordinator, CSSC SPORTS & LEISURE

The opportunity

We are looking for a Web Content Coordinator to join our Customer Experience Team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role focuses on optimising our website to increase traffic, conversion, and search ranking. It requires a blend of technical skills, content strategy, and a keen eye for detail to keep our digital assets engaging, up-to-date, and aligned with brand guidelines. The primary focus will be improving members’ experience across all website touchpoints, ensuring seamless navigation, accessibility, and engagement.

The role reports to the Website Manager.

Website
  • Develop, update, and maintain web content on Adobe Commerce, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.
  • Optimise existing content and write/edit/upload new content, ensuring SEO best practice, checking all links and adding meta data and description.
  • Develop new pages and microsites on the website, testing all aspects before release.
  • Regularly review and update homepage content to keep promos current with products and benefits.
  • Maintain site cleanliness by reviewing webpages, deleting old or expired content to keep the site optimised.
  • Stay up-to-date with content and SEO to keep brand compliant with search engine algorithms.
  • Utilise the Search Metrics platform to improve search ranking.
  • Monitor website analytics and performance, providing insights and recommendations.
User Experience
  • Improve members’ experience across all website touchpoints, making interactions more intuitive and engaging.
  • Apply up-to-date UX techniques, proactively searching for and applying updates that provide a more memorable and personalised experience.
  • Recommend features that benefit staff and members, ensuring they are feasible and cost-effective when passed to web developers.
  • Support end-to-end testing for new developments and integrations.

  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

  • Ability to communicate status of content updates to stakeholders.
Key Skills & Experience
  • At least 1 year’s experience in a Web Content Management System.
  • Proficiency and experience in Adobe Commerce and other CMS platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and web analytics tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, etc.).
  • Knowledge of analytical tools such as Hotjar to track visitor behaviour.
  • Excellent editing, copywriting, and proofreading skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise conflicting and changing demands.
  • Collaborative approach and ability to build relationships across departments.
  • Knowledge of managing websites;
    Adobe experience desirable.
  • Experience in Photoshop.
