Example Recruitment Group is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of an established and growing specialist within the compliance and environmental hygiene industry. We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Compliance Operative to join an experienced team delivering specialist cleaning and compliance services across a variety of commercial, industrial, public-sector, retail and utility environments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands‑on work and wants to develop a long-term career within the compliance industry.
Full training and ongoing development will be provided, including specialist industry training.
As a Compliance Operative, you'll work as part of a field-based team ensuring environmental hygiene and compliance works are completed safely, professionally and to the required standards.
Your work will cover three main areas:
- General ventilation and duct cleaning
- Water tank cleaning, coating and refurbishment
- Kitchen extract and fire safety cleaning
You'll be working across a variety of client sites and will be expected to represent the business professionally while delivering consistently high standards of work.
Key Responsibilities- Carrying out ventilation and duct cleaning works across commercial and industrial systems.
- Undertaking kitchen extract and grease hygiene cleaning.
- Supporting water tank cleaning, disinfection, coating and refurbishment works.
- Ensuring all assigned works are completed on time and to the required specification.
- Following all relevant Health & Safety procedures, particularly when working with specialist equipment and chemicals.
- Wearing and maintaining the appropriate PPE and ensuring working areas are kept safe, clean and organised.
- Ensuring sites are left clean, secure and presentable following completion of works.
- Looking after specialist tools and equipment and reporting any damage, defects or replacement requirements.
- Completing works in accordance with the training provided and relevant industry standards.
- Providing a professional and courteous service when dealing with customers and site representatives.
- Supporting the training and development of new operatives where required.
- Communicating with supervisors regarding site progress, issues and priorities.
- Following company quality, environmental and operational procedures at all times.

- Previous experience within duct cleaning, ventilation hygiene, kitchen extract cleaning, grease hygiene, water hygiene, tank cleaning or environmental compliance would be advantageous, although training can be provided for the right person.
