We are looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Branch Manager to support the leadership of our High Wycombe Branch
. This is a key role within the branch, working closely with the Branch Manager to drive sales performance, operational standards, and team development.

This role is ideal for a proven Assistant Branch Manager or senior trade counter/branch supervisor looking to progress their career within a well-established, employee-owned business.

• Support the Branch Manager in the day-to-day running of the branch
• Help drive sales growth and margin performance through excellent customer service
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local trade customers and suppliers
• Lead by example on the trade counter, ensuring high service standards
• Assist with stock control, stock accuracy, and availability
• Support team training, development, and performance management
• Ensure health & safety and operational procedures are followed at all times
• Step up to manage the branch in the Branch Manager’s absence

• Previous experience as an Assistant Branch Manager, Branch Supervisor, or senior trade counter role within a plumbing, heating, or building materials merchant
• Strong product knowledge and understanding of branch operations
• Confident communicator with good people management skills
• Commercially aware with a customer-focused mindset
• Organised, hands-on, and keen to develop into a Branch Manager role
• Good understanding of stock control and H&S requirements
