Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Head of Facilities Management to provide strategic leadership, direction, and operational excellence and continual improvement across our commercial office estate. This is a pivotal role, responsible for ensuring all our workplaces are safe, compliant, well maintained, sustainable and designed to enhance our colleague experience as our organisation continues to grow.
Acting as a trusted adviser to senior leaders, you will oversee all aspects of facilities operations, from compliance and maintenance to capital works, service contracts and workplace strategy. You will shape high-quality environments that support productivity, well-being and organisational priorities.
As this is a senior FM role your presence on site is really important and you will spend the majority of your week in our two main office locations;
High Wycombe, Bucks and Letchworth, Herts, so your base location should ideally be within an easy commute of these locations.

Responsible for:You will lead the development and delivery of our facilities management strategy across all office premises, directing a high-performing team and ensuring full compliance with health, safety, fire, environmental and building regulations.
You will manage budgets for facilities operations, compliance, and capital projects, while driving continuous improvements to workplace quality, functionality and the overall colleague experience. The role oversees asset management, maintenance scheduling, space planning and performance reporting across the estate, working closely with senior leaders on strategic planning, operational resilience, and business continuity. You will champion sustainability initiatives, manage office moves, refurbishments and fit-outs, and build strong relationships with landlords, managing agents, suppliers and contractors to ensure excellent service and value for money.
In addition, you will lead procurement, leasing, and the acquisition or disposal of commercial premises in line with organisational needs.
- Senior FM experience in multi site or complex office environments.
- Strong HVAC/M&E procurement and contract management expertise.
- Broad contractor management experience across varied risk levels.
- Proven delivery of minor and major projects from concept to completion.
- Deep knowledge of H&S, compliance, sustainability, and building systems.
- Experience with preventive maintenance, energy management, and BMS.
- Degree in FM or related field; IWFM Level 6 (MIWFM); NEBOSH qualified.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder skills.
- Strong financial management and budgeting capability.
- Customer focused approach and experience supporting reasonable adjustments.
- Ability to influence at all levels; full UK driving licence; strong IT skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong project management skills.
- Passion for sustainability and innovative FM solutions.
- Responsible Person (ACOP L8) and understanding of CDM 2015.
