Contracts Manager

Overview

This traditional main contractor is looking for a Contracts Manager to oversee and ensure the successful delivery of projects. With a turnover in excess of £60M, its core business is the delivery of construction projects ranging in size from £1 million to £10 million, including both refurbishment and new build. Projects are undertaken across all sectors, with the largest proportion in education and residential, and a strong presence in commercial, health, ecclesiastical, sports and leisure.

• Oversee and manage three to four projects simultaneously, varying in value and complexity.
• Regularly visit all sites under your control.
• Produce programme and method statements.
• Ensure the standard and quality of work meets company and client expectations.
• Manage safety, including safety management plans and compliance.
• Maintain accurate and complete records.
• Drive efficiency, security, and optimal use of plant and materials.
• Manage the correct use of sub‑contractors and labour.
• Represent and uphold the company’s image at all times.

• Experience in managing multiple construction projects at varying values and complexities.
• Highly organised and self‑motivated, with an ambition to succeed and fit the company ethic and outlook.
