Summary
We're looking for a Facilities Manager to lead the care of sites across Hughenden, West Wycombe and Central Chilterns. You’ll play an important part in securing the support, engagement and resources needed to ensure these special places continue to inspire and benefit generations to come. The role is 4 days a week, which can be discussed our pay for entry sites are open all year round, there is regular weekend and bank holiday working.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be a key member of the team, managing two direct reports and a small team of volunteers. You will be based out of our Estate office located at Hughenden Manor, which is situated a short distance from High Wycombe and local transport links are excellent. You will engage with employees, volunteer staff and board members who share our mandate to preserve the significance of historic sites and protect our surrounding environment.
WhatYou’ll Be Doing
As Facilities & Support Services Manager, you will lead all planned, preventive, reactive and small projects across the property group. You will be involved in the day‑to‑day management of capital works projects, support our other site at West Wycombe Park and manage staff and volunteers who must maintain compliance and performance. You will also contribute to prop‑team leadership duties and duty‑management responsibilities and proactively manage delegated budgets.
WhoWe’re Looking For
- Strong understanding of facilities management and maintenance requirements
- Excellent knowledge of health‑and‑safety and compliance legislation and environmental and climate initiatives
- Proven leadership skills, including team development and volunteer management
- Experience managing budgets, projects and contracts effectively
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Advanced IT skills and experience using asset‑management systems
