Seeking an experienced Planner to join a multi-disciplinary team supporting the supply of high-precision engineered products. This role is responsible for planning and managing the supply of parts and assemblies to internal and external customers while ensuring products procured from suppliers meet quality standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning & Scheduling
* Raise internal works orders and purchasing requirements to drive material through the supply chain, achieving on-time performance and inventory targets.
* Consolidate internal and external delivery commitments into a single agreed order schedule.
* Collaborate with operations teams to provide real-time updates on production priorities, material supply, and output targets.
* Process Engineering Change Orders, Custom Bill of Materials releases, and new product introductions into existing production plans.
* Maintain accurate forecasting, reporting, and KPI tracking for delivery performance.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing data accuracy and planning processes.
* Manage safety stock, Month on Hand (MoH) targets, and work with team leaders to maintain ERP system data integrity.
* Schedule and manage fast spares and support RMA planning processes as required.
Supplier Quality Management
* Monitor and evaluate supply chain processes to ensure product quality.
* Work with external suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
* Develop and maintain quality control procedures and standards.
* Conduct supplier audits and report on quality performance metrics.
* Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal quality objectives.
Key
Competencies:
* Strong prioritisation and organisational skills to meet deadlines
* Proficient in ERP-based MRP systems
* Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
* Understanding of quality control methodologies
* Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills
* Analytical, methodical, and detail-oriented
* Effective communicator, able to work independently and within a team
Qualifications:
* Level 4 or above qualification in Manufacturing Planning or equivalent (desirable)
* Certification in Supply Chain Operations or Supplier Quality (desirable)
* Minimum Level 3 BTEC, City & Guilds, or Apprenticeship in Planning, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing discipline with relevant planning experience
Experience:
* Experience in a manufacturing planning environment
* Experience in quality assurance or supply chain management
* Background in high-precision engineered products with internal and external supply chains
