MY client seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join a busy and well-established manufacturing machine shop. This role is responsible for machining high-quality components to drawing specifications while maintaining productivity, safety and quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist who thrives in a performance-driven environment and is confident operating multiple machines.

• Machine components from engineering drawings, programs and specifications
• Program (where applicable), prove out and operate CNC or conventional machines
• Maintain optimum machine performance in line with manufacturing processes
• Carry out quality inspections and complete associated documentation
• Support multi-machine operation (MMO) and un-manned machining where required
• Meet production targets, delivery schedules and urgent requirements
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report breakdowns promptly
• Ensure a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Comply with Health & Safety regulations including COSHH
• Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives

• Completed machining apprenticeship or time-served experience
• Experience using Fanuc controls and 5-axis machinery
• Minimum 5 years' experience operating CNC and/or conventional machine tools
• Formal engineering qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and quality standards
• Experience with Windows-based computer systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Flexible, reliable and self-motivated
