ReeVR Talent are looking for a CNC Machinist to join our clients growing engineering and manufacturing team. This is a great opportunity for a CNC Machinist with a background in CNC machining or manual machining who wants to develop their skills and take on more responsibility within a fast paced machine shop.

As the Machinist will be involved in manufacturing high-precision components, working across both CNC and bespoke machinery. The role offers plenty of variety, from setting and operating machinery through to producing one-off and small-batch components, carrying out inspections and helping improve manufacturing processes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Setting and operating CNC turning machines to produce precision components.
  • Using conventional lathes, milling machines and workshop equipment when required.
  • Working from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Selecting the correct tooling, fixtures and machining methods for each job.
  • Manufacturing one-off, prototype and small-batch components.
  • Measuring and inspecting components throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Using precision measuring equipment to ensure components meet required tolerances.
  • Carrying out basic machine maintenance and daily equipment checks.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is practical, hands-on and enjoys working in a precision engineering environment.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a machine shop, CNC or manual machining environment.
  • CNC turning experience, ideally including setting machinery.
  • Experience using conventional lathes and/or milling machines.
  • The ability to confidently read engineering drawings.
  • Experience working with precision components and tight tolerances.
  • Good knowledge of tooling, machining methods and inspection equipment.
  • A strong eye for detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving processes.
  • The ambition to learn, develop and take on additional responsibility.

Why Join?

You'll have the chance to work across both CNC and conventional machinery, contribute ideas, develop your technical skills and play a key part in improving the machine shop.
