About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised QC & Laboratory Administrator to support the Quality team during a busy period. This temporary position plays a key role in ensuring laboratory efficiency, compliance, and high‑quality standards across raw materials, finished products and documentation processes.

This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, experience in a laboratory or quality‑driven environment, and confidence supporting both administrative and hands‑on testing activities.

Have a strong administrative skill set, including data entry, document control, and system accuracy.
Be reliable, methodical and able to prioritise work effectively.
Bring experience using internal IT systems or LIMS.
Have a genuine interest in food, flavour, manufacturing, or scientific environments (desirable).

Key Responsibilities

Laboratory Operations & Support

Prepare, organise and maintain raw material (RM) and finished goods (FG) samples according to quality protocols.
Ensure tasting booths, glassware and laboratory areas remain clean, hygienic and compliant with lab standards.
Manage laboratory supplies: place orders, receive deliveries and maintain stock levels.
Ensure all equipment, chemicals and resources are available for scheduled testing activities.

Quality Testing & Sensory Work

Carry out routine quality tests on raw materials and finished products following established QC procedures.
Verify analytical results against product specifications.
Organise and support sensory panels, including taste/odour testing and triangle tests.
Schedule and book microbiological samples for timely collection.
Ensure retain samples are accessible and prepared for assessments.

Administration & Documentation

Maintain accurate production check records (daily and weekly) for easy audit retrieval.
Update internal systems to reflect sample movements and stock changes.
Scan, upload and correctly file documents to support traceability and compliance.
Transfer supplier documentation into the correct internal systems and ensure all records are complete.
Support ongoing projects, including out‑of‑date stock documentation work.

Skills & Experience

Essential

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Experience using internal databases, quality systems or LIMS.

Desirable

Experience in the food, beverage, flavour or manufacturing industry.
Previous laboratory or QC administrative experience.
