Salary: £27,741.00 per annum
This role involves supporting a caseload of clients both in custody and in the community, helping them to successfully resettle before and after release. You will work with individuals to ensure they have a clear and structured plan in place covering key areas such as housing, healthcare, education, wellbeing, life skills, and employment. Meetings will be one-to-one, enabling plan delivery and signposting to relevant services within the prison and the community, ensuring continuity throughout the resettlement journey.
Typical schedule:
2 days per week in HMP Aylesbury, 1 day in High Wycombe Probation Service, and 1 day in Aylesbury Probation Service.
Required experience:
Working with individuals within the criminal justice system, either in a prison or custodial setting, is essential. Alternatively, experience supporting vulnerable individuals in areas such as mental health, substance misuse, or homelessness is highly relevant. Criminology graduates with relevant voluntary experience are encouraged to apply. Previous roles such as Prison Officer, Probation Officer, Resettlement Worker, Supported Housing Officer, Substance Misuse Worker, Careers Advisor, Employment Advisor, or Hostel Worker are also appropriate.
