We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Fleet Controller to join our Western Australian team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating fleet operations, solving problems and delivering exceptional service.
About the RoleReporting to the Operations Manager, the Fleet Controller is responsible for coordinating, scheduling and monitoring company vehicles, trailers and equipment to ensure efficient and cost-effective fleet operations.
You will be the central point of communication between customers, operations, workshops and suppliers, ensuring fleet availability, compliance and service standards are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and schedule vehicles, trailers and equipment to meet customer and operational requirements.
- Monitor fleet movements and utilisation through telematics and fleet management systems.
- Manage vehicle hire, dehire and scheduling changes.
- Liaise with customers regarding deliveries, collections and service requirements.
- Ensure compliance with transport legislation, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management and licensing requirements.
- Maintain fleet records, servicing schedules and operational documentation.
- Assist with incident reporting and fleet compliance activities.
- Prepare fleet utilisation and operational performance reports.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased operational efficiency.
- Work closely with workshop and operational teams to maximise fleet availability.
- Previous experience in Fleet Control, Transport Coordination, Dispatch or Logistics.
- Strong understanding of transport operations and scheduling.
- Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management and transport compliance requirements.
- Experience using fleet management, telematics or dispatch systems.
- Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A current driver's licence.
