Travel RN - Telemetry

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse - Telemetry for a night shift contract requiring at least 2 years of MS/Tel experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart or American Red Cross only)
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tel experience required
• Must be able to pass an EKG test on first day of orientation
• Prior travel nursing experience required, with at least 1 completed travel assignment
• New graduates will not be considered
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a Relias EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration
• 2 professional references required, with 1 reference from the most recent travel assignment
• Date of birth required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 7p-7a, 36 hours per week
• 6-week contract
• Required to float to all four MS/Tel units at the facility
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required (1-2 holidays during contract)
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Epic EMR
• Provide telemetry nursing care within a medical-surgical/telemetry unit setting
• 8-hour classroom orientation, with first shift serving as unit orientation
• On-site EKG test required on Day 1 of orientation (pass/fail); failure to pass will result in contract termination
• A study guide will be provided to prepare for the Day 1 EKG test
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 12 months to be considered as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for this 6-week contract
• Candidates should expect a brief interview (10-15 minutes) with the facility as part of the hiring process
