Technical Sales Engineer

This position is responsible for identifying, developing, maximizing and manufacturing supply opportunities for the precision electrical contacts, connectors and RF/microwave industries. The candidate should have a proven track record of building, managing and closing opportunities selling into Aerospace, DOD, Medical, Metrology, and Test Equipment manufacturing businesses, and technical experience working with engineering teams to recommend the appropriate solutions required to meet customers' needs.

• Develop and manage North America customers.
• Build customer relationships with all customer touch points, including Purchasing, Engineering, R&D, and Operations.
• Provide timely responses to RFQs.
• Participate in annual sales goal setting and sales budget planning.

• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or equivalent work experience is required.
• 3+ years of work experience in OEM technical sales – preferably in precision electrical contacts and interconnection applications.
• Knowledge of precision manufacturing methods and capabilities.
• Must be able to read engineering drawings and interface with engineers on technical aspects of application.
• Travel across North America will be required.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
• Must read, write and understand English; multilingual skills are desirable.
• Must be proficient in Excel.
