POSITION SUMMARY: 3 hours per week at $16 per hour.
This team member will be responsible for providing operational support for the implementation of Lighthouse programs and special events related to family ministry initiatives. The responsibilities include:
- Possessing a missionary spirit and a can-do attitude to reach the lost and grow their faith, working under the leadership of the Lighthouse Children’s Coordinator.
- Collaborating with the Lighthouse staff at Christ Church to ensure the effective implementation of the church's mission and vision.
- Working cooperatively with the Lighthouse Coordinator to implement Sunday programming and special events.
This position requires 3 hours per week, with some flexibility to work off-site if approved by the supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support Lighthouse Coordinator by serving on Sunday mornings at least once or twice a month.
- Support the Children’s Coordinator by providing care for volunteers.
- Oversee services for infants through fifth grade.
- Participate in and promote campus special events and programs.
- Encourage and equip parents in their role as spiritual leaders over their children.
- Support the mission, vision, and values of Christ Church.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor towards co-workers, vendors, and guests.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of Christ Church.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Support Lighthouse Children’s Coordinator and quality teams at the location, utilizing volunteers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Background in Education (Early Childhood or Elementary) and/or previous volunteer experience in a church setting.
- Effective communication skills with congregants, staff, and lay leadership.
- Experience in taking initiative, solving problems, and leading others.
- Strong organizational and computer skills, with the ability to work collaboratively to achieve goals.
- A passion for children and families.
- A gift of leadership.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Models Christian character at work, home, and social life.
- Strives to uphold the Statement of Staff Values.
- Possesses developed Christian maturity.
- Agrees with Christ Church's Statement of Faith.
